Hazel's Happy Birthday

It was pretty epic! But I think that's how all birthdays should be!
We actually decided not to do some big party with kids because Hazel would rather have things calm and with family and especially with her sister, who is her best friend. So that's what we did!

Friday was the big day for Hazel's birthday! She woke up and was so happy about the decorations and balloons. 

Buck made her the traditional coffee cake 

 And she got to pick out a sugar cereal at the store a few days before. 

And then she got to open presents. She loved it all. It was the cutest! June got her the mermaid. My mom made her a special blanket like she did for June. She got some musical instruments and a parachute also and a bath tub crayon.

She got a new Ariel tutu dress and she was so happy.

After we took June to school, My friend Adrian called to say that there was a bounce house set up in her church building for someone's luncheon later, but that she was there to help let the guy in to set it up, and that we could come play on it for a little bit. It seemed too fateful and perfect for Hazel's birthday not to do it so we went and it was a blast. I had fun myself getting in there and bouncing around and even going down the slide. Hazel was so happy. It was a nice little birthday treat!

Then we got June and went to the Animal farm at Thanksgiving point. We haven't been in months due to the weather of course, but this day the sun was out and the air was safe and clean so even though it wasn't really super warm, we got our jackets on and went for the pony ride, seemed like a good birthday activity. 

 All she seemed to want to do was look at the chickens

 After her nap and when Buck got home we decided that the best place for a two year old's dinner was McDonalds. I know it's fast food but come on, french fries and ice cream and a play ground inside, what more could she want? Buck's whole family ended up going and she was so so happy. It was a great night!

Saturday we went to Build a Bear at the mall for Hazel's continued Birthday festivities. Buck's parents came and Jade and Curtis. June also got spoiled by her grandparents. June chose to make a dragon and Hazel wanted to make a puppy. They had a blast and the whole thing was adorable to watch. You get to pick the animal and then they stuff it and you add a wish and a heart to it and then groom it, pick out clothes or accessories, and then name it on a birth certificate. America, man. We've got it all.
And a huge thanks to Jade who remembered to bring her camera to the mall because I forgot mine! So all of these are from Jade and she did a great job!

Then we came back and had a pizza lunch and birthday cake.

I think it's safe to assume that Hazel had a great 30+ hours of birthday fun!
