Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi! This year we had a great Valentines Day. It was a little different than I had planned for some things but it all worked out and we had fun celebrating the day of love.
Before the big day we had some preparations, like making valentines:
June was "writing letters" to everyone. She even wrote a love note to Aladdin, her new true love, narrating to me what she was writing.
"Dear Aladdin. You love me, you don't like bad guys. When you turn into a prince, I will love you."
We also made some epic cookies with Buck's sister, Jade. And now I want to become a cookie artist!
Can you find the ones June made? :)

The morning of Valentines Day the girls woke up to some balloons, flowers, and candles.
We had little gifts on the chairs.
Buck's chair: dark chocolate blueberry sticks and a book I got to fill out about all the reasons I love Buck.
June's Chair: beads, candy, jump rope, unicorn, stickers. What more does a girl need?
Hazel's chair: unicorn, bear, giant mallow pop....
And on my chair was my favorite chocolate, flowers, and a really fun gift. Buck got me a date box with 12 items that each represent a different date. I get to choose one each month and only then will I find out what it means.
What do you think they mean? I'm so excited!
June and Hazel also got a flower from their daddy
We spent the morning making and eating crepes and then playing with the new toys.

Then June got ready for her date with her Uncle Ben, her other true love. He came and took her to a movie. She even got her hair all curled.
Meanwhile my cousin Alyse, my friend Tanya, and I all went and preformed old jazz songs at a retirement home. We also passed out roses to each of them. They seemed to really enjoy it and I'm glad we did it.

Then it was date time! Buck and I went to Market Street Grill for dinner. I had crab legs and filet Mignon, so you know, no complaining here. We were tired and we just sat there for a while, my head on Buck's shoulder. I'm glad that we can just be quiet together sometimes. And then after that we ended up making up stories for the other couples who were there, another one of our favorite past times, because we are weird.
After that we ended up going to the spot where Buck proposed. It was on a whim because we were right by it (kind of like when Buck proposed on a whim...) We got to watch a romantic sunset of burnt sienna and plum melt over the city.
And on the way to get the girls from my aunts house, we stopped at the sweet tooth fairy and got a few "cake bites." No regrets there...

Yay for Valentines Day!

Such fun memories to create. I agree that I can't wait to see what these dates are Buck has planned.

"When you turn into a prince, then I will love you" THIS IS PERFECT

June looks 19 in that picture in the car with Ben

And I think you are going to become a snake tamer on one of your dates? What a fun idea from Buck!

Haha! I love June's letter. Also, that date box is a fantastic idea! I might steal it for Aaron next year. Looks like a Valentine's success!

That sounds like a perfect day. And I have no idea what any of those dates are going to be, so you'll have to let us know as they happen!
