Ah Boise. It's always good to go home.
We hadn't been to Boise since my sister's wedding back in September! (haven't really gone anywhere since then actually... babies keep you home!) So we were past due for a little weekend trip, so we went this last weekend of May. We have two older cars. My 1999 Honda and Buck's grandpa's old 1996 Jimmy. I actually drove the Jimmy these days because it fit the two car seats and the Honda gets better gas for buck's work drive. And anyway, we had to take the jimmy to fit us all but it was the longest trip this old truck had ever made in its entire existence. And well, long story short... it didn't last. The trip did it in. And we ended up having to get a new car! Big news for us!
It's all a little crazy since we were NOT planning on that but hey, that's life.
And because of all of this, instead of being there basically just for one whole day, we got to stay until late Monday night! Exciting times all around.
So aside from looking at cars, we relaxed, swam in the pool, and ate good food.

hahahaha
Hazel went swimming for the first time... normally she loves baths but swimming with the bright sun and slight wind? Not so much.

a whole lot of pink here
She woke up early so I brought her into our bed. Buck was passed out and clueless the whole time
Church time. Wish I could nap too sometimes ;)
Grandma also played Disney songs for June on the piano. June played too and sang and danced.
June also got to paint and make a mess.
One highlight was going to visit my long time friend Jennifer and her horses. This was June's second time riding a "big horse" and she loved it! This girl has no fear around animals and she is gentle and good with them. She even got to trot on the horse while riding bareback. Then she got to lead the horse around by herself and she was in heaven.

Our last day there we went swimming again, and my friend Amber came too.
I'm so jealous of my mom's flowers. Every time I try to plant flowers they never make it.
That evening, after June got to watch TWO Disney movies we got to play outside one last time and roast some marshmallows.
It's always good to go home. And then to have a home to go back to. So many homes! It's strange, every time I go to Boise I don't want to leave but then once I'm back in Utah I am happy too. So conflicted. Or maybe just blessed.
(And I feel bad talking about how we can just drive to Boise for a weekend since Buck's parents live so far away.... but I'm hoping this post will inspire them to move closer, and soon! :) )

So much fun...also having a new car makes me feel like spontaneous road trips are more doable to let us know when you want us to meet you in Boise!
1. HAZEL'S BONNET!
2. That last picture of June is amazing
3. The colors in all of your photos are so VIBRANT!
Ah, it is good to have the pictures and the recap because it's always so lonely when you leave and it always keeps it more alive when one can read and look at pictures. Thanks for always trying to keep both sides of your family connected and included. You make my flowers look so good and I kind of like the one of June and grandpa on the tram but of course I like all of them. It was so cute to see Jim leading the horse around as if this was her best friend.
I totally understand the multiple home dilemma. I guess it's a good thing to feel like you belong in more than one place :).
Congrats on the new car!!!
Looks like an awesome trip! And wow! The side by sides on the car. Also, June's smore face and your windblown expression are probably my favorites. :)
