Travel Log- The Wedding

Our week in DC and Virginia was INSANE. It was six different trips packed into one: trip to see family, trip to reunite best friends, a trip to see a best friend get married, a trip to be a wedding photographer, a trip to be a tourist, and Buck's birthday thrown in there. Fhew! I haven't pushed my self so far in a long time. And I'm not saying that I'm that old or anything but at the same time, I am not as young as I once was. And this week about killed us off. But it was worth it! 

This is the post when one of my best friends from college gets married, long time besties and roommates reunite, and I am the wedding photographer. Oh, and a bridesmaid.

First, know this, June got to hang out with her aunt and uncle and her grandparents- and even though she missed us, she was happy and spoiled and loved the whole time.

Now- Here is the reunion of best roommates at a cowgirl bachelorette party, in the Relief Society room...

 

Good times, we laughed a lot that night!

Being the wedding photographer was a great idea over all. I gave Mandy a great deal and she helped this trip be affordable. Win win. It was pretty crazy and I took on a lot of work that I'm still knee deep in. But it was worth it. And even though I didn't get to go hang out with everyone in between the wedding and reception (because we were taking photos) I still got to hang out with the bride and groom so I feel like it was another win. Buck and I drove to Fredricksburg Virgina and back to DC like 6 times and stayed the night at Mandy's house the second night we were there. That was crazy. But it's just how it all needed to happen for everything to work out. So from this process we got engagement, boudoir, the wedding, bridals, and a reception officially photographed. Whew! And it was fun and I learned a lot and the time spent with Buck was priceless... but.... I'm not sure we'll be doing this again anytime soon. ;)

Wedding Day

 Oh and here's me. The multi-tasker. While I may have pulled off being a bridesmaid and a photographer (barely) you will notice that I did not manage to multi task enough to make my hair not look so cave woman-ish.

The reception was crazy. They really went all out on making that church gym not look like a gym.

While Mandy and Brennen had their first dance, June was on the dance floor as well, putting petals on her head.

All in all the day was a success.
