Frank says "Wait until you need to go on vacation!" We love having a dog, but finding someone to take care of him when we want to go out of town can be a big problem. Cats are pretty independent and it's pretty simple to find someone willing to come feed fish (or cats) but dogs need company, and someone to walk them several times a day as well as feed them. More of a commitment. Good luck!
