I realized that I haven't been taking pictures as much as I used to. Nor do I post about the random happenings of my life. Probably because I have been sick for three months. I don't know. Someday I will post that baby bump picture but right now, at 14 weeks, I feel like it's bigger than it's suppose to be? I think everyone feels this way. I wish I knew what I was suppose to look like. But I know, I know- everyone is different. So in the meantime, here are my two updates:

1) Remember when I decided to fulfill a life goal and invent a holiday or two? At the end of the post I decide that maybe I needed a pick-me-up at the end of January. I didn't set an official day but I wanted to celebrate a random country each year. So the other week I realized that January was ending soon (praise the Lord) and I needed to celebrate. It was a last minute throw together and therefore we decided to pick an easy country: ITALY. Why is it easy you ask?

So we had pasta and Italian sodas (which I may or may not have turned electric purple with neon food coloring...) and then we made gelato. Buck gave a language thought: Vivi e lascia vivere. Which means: Live and let live. And we had some history. Then our guests tried doing weird body puzzles with a broom stick, which is not Italian. And my pictures did not do the food or table set up justice so I leave you with this Italian magic.

2) Today my favorite calling, Gospel Doctrine teacher, in my church branch was taken from me and I was given another, banishing me from Relief society and any hopes of a social life there.

It's funny really. I guess. I'm proof that you have to be careful what you pray for. Because I've been praying for an opportunity to use music again. And how did God decide to answer this prayer?

For anyone who really knows me knows that I am so not the girl that can get up in front of children and with a high voice and bubbles in the air around me say in a sing-song voice "WOW! You guys did SUCH a GOOD job!!! You are SUCH big KIDS. So COOL!!!!! WOW!!!"

Right?

I'm sarcastic and I have an unusually low voice. And I avoided babysitting my whole life. (which are some of the reasons why I'm wondering how on earth I'm going to be a good mom...)

And that's that. Here I go, into the world of children and songs... Oh and we have a performance coming up in a couple weeks. . . . .
