Lately- May

The busiest month! And this post testifies of that with many photos... even all the other posts from this month! Between all the recitals, graduations, end of school year stuff, memorial day weekend stuff, Buck going to Vegas for work, play tickets, temple stuff.... phew! It's been a whirlwind and many days I cried haha. But there was so much good packed in there!

First up- touring the new Saratoga Springs temple! It was fun to take the kids through.

May Day flowers for my friends!

And then I took a walk to admire all the many blooms around the neighborhood! One good thing from the wet winter, the flowers are extra colorful and bright and full!

Winta graduated with her high school diploma. She ended up going to a place called Job Corps where you can get your diploma as an adult. That place was kind of like a jail so the second she got this we went up and packed up her stuff and got her out of there!

Met up at the park with my friend Juno!

Hazel got braces!

Cute couch cuddles.

A round up of the photos Johnny's preschool teacher sent me throughout the month. She was the best teacher!

Taking some senior photos with all the blossoms!

I also got to photograph a fun African church thing and Winta came to help me.

A storm every day this month it felt like!

Cinco de Mayo bonfire.

Johnny snapped this candid and I felt like it really sums up life. ha

Hazel got a perm! She loves it!

Date night to see Hello Dolly! It was so fun!

Hazel's cute bookmark

Pizza making night.

I want a bunny! But I don't want to clean up after one...

Walks with friends and bug finding.

Got Winta a graduation gift of a PINK car emergency kit and also some car cleaning supplies.

Night time girl talk on the bathroom floor.

Always in the way of yoga time.

Another park meet up with an old college friend, Kelia, who was in town!

A fun girls night out! Shopping, dinner, and a movie.

Winta and Johnny visiting horse lessons

And rain or shine, cowgirls ride, apparently.

A girls night with friends from the singing group!
Cool views on a walk with a friend.

Huge snakes on the path!

And then more found at a soccer game!

Rare moments of sunshine. And look at our tree!

Had a couples karaoke night and it was a blast!
June tried to bust in the party.

Mother's Day stuff:
A bath
Gifts and kind crafts from the kids
Tickets to this show!
Buck had to do singing time for Mother's day and it was funny.

Sunday family dinner and cousin time!

Made picnic sets for the kids' teachers as a thank you gift at the end of the year!

Hazel insisted on an actual basket for her teacher and not the cool cooler bag.

Dinner with an old friend, Emily!

Buck and I got to volunteer at the temple open house as "standing ushers" and it was a fun and different way to serve.

But we missed all the storm and rainbow action! But neighbors got these photos.

Winta and I went to Hazel's school project presentation.

POV: June is trying to get out of bed time by showing up looking like this....

"Mom! Take a picture of me looking at the sky!"

Youth play of Shrek!
And some burgers afterwards.

A walk with Johnny.

And later on, a walk with a friend and beautiful views!
And then we stumbled upon this search and rescue on the lake! Don't worry, everyone was okay.
But the mayflies were out in FULL FORCE.

Tracy had her baby! It was scary because her uterus ruptured and she could have died! Grateful for knowledgeable and quick doctors!

uncle time

A zombie and alien came to visit!

Ready for summer.

A bike ride to the lake

Then we had to leave fast to outrun the storm!

Went to another play- Mary Poppins youth production, with our friends.

Went to a new park and found a snail friend.

While Johnny got a hair cut another worker offered to paint Rose's nails- it was cute!

Facetime with Alonab! They ended up coming to visit later that day too!

Always some cat photos thrown in here.

Girls night for a friend's birthday!

Braces friends!

June got this water bottle, fanny pack, and hat for her graduation gift and she was stoked.

Dinosaur sighting.

Icee queen

Siblings twisted up.

Window clings.

Johnny calls these his "teenager clothes"

We used fancy plates for dinner so Rose got dressed accordingly.

Lastly, Kenzi and family came to visit and we did dinner and s'mores!
Don't ask me how we fit it all in, because it doesn't make sense to me either! Life is insane!
