Another tradition for us is making gingerbread. And most years we make the cookies but then use a store bought kit to decorate a gingerbread house. I've always wanted to make one of those from scratch too though and this year was the year! Each kid got to decorate one side of the house. We listened to Christmas music while we did this and it was perfect. The kids kept sneaking candy, but isn't that the way childhood should be? ;)
