Date Night- Star Gazing

One night, after we got the kids in bed, we had a babysitter come and Buck and I actually went on a date! There was an event that day- "Astronomy day"- on the University of Utah campus and we made it to the last thing of the day- star gazing on the roof with high powered telescopes and students and staff to teach us all about it. They also have a good observatory up there as well. We got to see the moon, star bursts, and “the ghost of Jupiter.” The city lights down below were also twinkly.

We stopped by the class room and touched real meteorites, made some glow in the dark necklaces for the girls, and then we headed home. But on the way we stopped and got some root beer floats. We had to make them up ourselves. We went to a drive thru, fast food place, and ordered root beer and a vanilla frosty. I had to get out of the car to shew away three ducks who seemed to be ordering from the drive thru window as well. We laughed a lot.

It was a good date night.

I want to make some science-y comment about the chemistry between you two, but that doesn't really make sense since this is an astronomy date. But Whatevs...Looks like a perfect date and I liked the duck detail!
