Rose's Birthday Festivites!

Rose loves many things, but towards the top of that list are "puppy dogs," so a puppy dog themed birthday seemed like an obvious choice. She woke up on the morning of her birthday with some fun decorations. (I'm having a real hard time with knowing how to decorate in our new house but I think she was excited.)

 Also at the top of her "favorites" list would be Mickey and Minnie Mouse so her gifts were easy to decide on as well. :)

 She had chocolate pancakes for breakfast (with whipped cream and a strawberry heart!)

Then I put our little bounce house up in the loft and let her and Hazel go wild. 

 After her nap she got to open another gift- this fun play table! So her and her sister played with that for a long time.

 After her favorite macaroni for dinner, she had a little birthday cake.

 And I know it's silly but I was feeling all guilty that we didn't get out of the house at all and go somewhere fun for her birthday. She's two and she doesn't know or even probably care but I know how much she loves getting out but it just didn't work out that day with everything else that's been going on! So to console my guilt, I gave her a glow stick birthday bath... no better way to end a birthday than in your "birthday suit," am I right?

The next day we had her puppy party! I was happy with how it turned out. I had too much fun thinking up ideas for this, and thanks to the dollar store, all my party dreams came true. (actually I had even more ideas but not enough time to implement them, so if you're ever in need of puppy party ideas, call me up. 😂)

The food was simple: Meat sticks and puppy food (cocoa puffs) that we ate from dog dishes. 

 

 For some simple games we played fetch and tug of war.

Then I thought I was really funny and got scoops and poop bags and threw unwrapped tootsie rolls and snickers all over the house and had them scoop up as many as they could. 

 

And of course, every kid guest got to adopt a puppy. 

And let's not forget the pinata! 

Lastly- the cute cake and cookies that my sister in law, Jade, made!!

I think it was a simple success and perfect for a two year old. Thank you to everyone who came and who loves Rose!
