YELLOW

I finally did it! I finally celebrated the Color Holiday that I "invented" a few years ago.
Since it was the first year of celebrating colors I wanted to start with a basic:

YELLOW

It was pretty simple. More simple than I had envisioned, but it was perfect for this year. Next year I will get colored crepe paper and balloons, maybe a pinata, and we'll make a list together of things that are the color we are celebrating. And, I just decided, we'll also have to make a finger painting in that color. Or something like that.

As for today? June and I wore yellow (turns out Buck only owns black and grey clothing) and we had a yellow dinner with some yellow flowers to decorate. We ate dinner outside under a yellow setting sun and it was wonderful.

For dinner we had corn on the cob, lemon chicken, and mini yellow potatoes. And bananas for a simple dessert. Oh, and lemon water, of course. :)

Not sure what color we will do next year but maybe another primary like RED or BLUE. I realized that I will never want to do GREEN since we already celebrate with that color once a year on St Patrick's day, am I right? I'm just happy I remembered it this year. Having fun little holidays make life (even more) exciting.

So fun! I love how you make special occasions for you family. It inspires me to do the same. I mean who wants to wait around for Christmas and birthdays all year?
